Outreach

So you want to make a difference?

So you want to make a difference? We believe you can and have the perfect opportunity for you to do just that. At SGT, we have two key outreaches scheduled for each school. The first is called Mission Impossible and the concept is modeled after the popular TV show, the Apprentice, a business style survivor show where contestants are eliminated based on their business savvy and performance in different project they are assigned.

The big difference is no one gets fired during Mission Impossible, just fired up! In this challenge the students are sent out to a city or town with only a place to stay and food, and it is up to them to hear from God about how to reach that community. Each team will have a video camera to record the adventure that God has in store for them.

The Deployment Phase

The second outreach is called the Deployment phase and is an 8 week cross cultural assignment in another nation. Past schools have served in the nations of Kenya and Thailand. Possible outreach locations include Brazil, Guatemala and Kenya.

During this outreach, students will partner with local churches and experienced leaders. Partnering with an established church will greatly enhance student’s ability to make a lasting impact in the areas they serve. It will also help build vision and faith for future ministry both at home and abroad.

Highlights:

By spending time with God and listening to His voice, through that intimacy with Him, I was able to hear His voice and plans for my life.
